I love the community that Scouts builds, that I can travel across the world and have this thing in common with people from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures. I love that we’re all a big family and that extends to our capacity to create change.

Since starting as a seven-year-old Cub Scout Meg Cummins has embraced every opportunity Scouts has offered. In 2023, at the age of 25, she represented the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) at the United Nations.

Scouts helps children become better and more confident adults, helping to set them up for healthy and fulfilling career and life.

According to our research, children in Scouts are more confident in social situations, better at networking, and are better at showing initiative and problem solving than those who are not in Scouts. They enjoy school and respect rules more, and have a greater sense of purpose.

Scouts is open to all – Ages 5 and up

Our Youth Program is designed for ages 5 to 25, catering to all stages of youth development and providing challenges and growth opportunities appropriate to each age section. Whether you're a Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer Scout or Rover Scout, there's a place for you to belong and grow. Plus, you can always come back as an Adult Helper, Leader or Supporter!

Where is the closest Scout Group to me?

Scouts has over 400 Groups in NSW. There are five age-range sections between the ages 5-25, which you can read more about above.

When you send through your enquiry form, we can help you find the most suitable group closest to you. Groups may suit you better depending on the age of your child, when they regularly meet, and the size of the Group.
