VISION

Through fun and friendship, Scouts will inspire and create resilient young people and adults, by developing skills for life and contributing to our community.

MISSION

Scouting develops and empowers youth by gaining life skills and a value system, based on the Scout Promise and Law, building a better world and playing a constructive role in society.

2025-2027 Strategy

For more than 100 years, Scouting has enabled young people to participate in outdoor adventure activities and push personal boundaries, developing their resilience, confidence and leadership capabilities. We know young people are passionate, and as the priorities of a new generation change, so must we.

Scouting is shaping the future by giving young people the opportunities and the support to thrive and be heard.

The Strategy aims to deliver sustainable growth into the future, by getting more NSW youth actively participating in great program experiences supported by empowered volunteer leaders. The four strategic pillars are

FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

Build a sustainable financial foundation ensuring long-term viability through strategic investments

GOVERNANCE

Enhance a framework of policies, processes and structures to guide decision-making and uphold compliance

SAFEGUARDING

Ensure a safe and inclusive environment through enhanced policies, processes and practices that safeguard children and young people
