Research shows: Scouts are resilient

Australian Scouts are more self-confident, better socially connected, feel good about themselves, are more positive at coping with life, and get on better with different people. They’re also proactive in dealing with their problems, and to talk with others if they’re upset, read more books for fun, and are less likely to use their devices overnight.

23% more open about how they’re feeling

Research by Resilient Youth Australia, which compared a national sample of Australian Scouts aged 8-18 with 110,000 of their peers.

Scouts do loads of fun activities

All ages of Scouts take part in cycling, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, boating, rockclimbing, abseiling, alpine, aviation, performing arts, leadership and more, along with the traditional Scouting activities of bushcraft, bushwalking, and camping.

Scouts is open to all – Ages 5 and up

Our Youth Program is designed for ages 5 to 25, catering to all stages of youth development and providing challenges and growth opportunities appropriate to each age section.

Scouts has over 400 Groups in NSW, so there's sure to be one close to you!

When you send through your enquiry form, we can help you find the most suitable group closest to you. Groups may suit you better depending on the age of your child, when they regularly meet, and the size of the Group.
